Hyperlinks

Hyperlinks are the graphics, words, or phrases you click on in HTML documents that jump from page to page or site to site. 

This site uses hyperlinks in it's help pages to jump to other help pages or page locations that describe the hyperlinked function, word or screen in more detail.

Hyperlinks are identified by the following format, this is the hyperlink format.

Breadcrumbs

Breadcrumbs are the navigation links displayed at the top of the page that enable you to navigate quickly and easily back along the path you took to get to the current page.

Navigation between help pages

This site uses hyperlinks in it's help pages to jump to other help pages.   You will need to easily navigate backwards and forwards between pages.

To toggle backwards and forwards between pages that have been opened by the hyperlinks, use:

Previous/Next

Search results are displayed in blocks of ten.  Where there are more than ten results, the arrows on the top and bottom banners will display a hyperlink to the next and previous pages. For example:

You are able to go directly to any pages between 1 - 9 by clicking on the page number listed in the banners.

Drop-down Lists

When you click on a field that contains a drop-down list, the list will alphabetically display the valid entries.  You are not able to enter any text yourself.

Use the scroll bar to find the item you need or type the first character to automatically scroll to the position in the list where you will easily find your selection.

Once your selection is highlighted, press [Enter] to accept your selection.

Mandatory Fields

Some fields are mandatory and require an entry. You will not be able to proceed further until mandatory fields are filled in.

You can identify a mandatory field by the red asterisk (*) against the field name, e.g. * Subject.

You will be informed in the individual field descriptions if an entry is mandatory. 

Legend

Bomb - The Warning symbol is used to point out something you must or must not do in the HSD

Pencil - The Notes symbol is extra information to help you understand the process of using the HSD

Globe - The Tip symbol is a useful hint that can save you time and effort.
